Awakening, the feature film, was our beginning. We were scripting it in February 2007. Nothing else about LifePath Unlimited existed at the time except a vision, a company name and a logo.

LifePath Unlimited held its fifth BreakThrough event last month at the beautiful Cancun Palace Hotel in Cancun. If you didn’t leave the event feeling Unstoppable, perhaps you weren’t really there.

I know that my personal level of Unstoppable went up meeting and learning from the truly Unstoppable David Goggins who graced the stage on the 3rd day. Here’s a man that grew up in dire circumstances, yet through intention and commitment now raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the children of fallen soldiers, inspires countless many world-round to push through their own limiting beliefs, and who runs and runs and runs and runs and runs and runs and runs everyday, – something he “hates” – to demonstrate and prove the Unstoppable nature within all of us.

But David was just one of many extraordinary individuals to grace the stage at this BreakThrough. Three-Foot Giant Sean Stephenson rocked people’s world on day one. Cynthia Kersey the author of “Unstoppable” and the incomparable health expert Deanna Latson garnered standing ovations on day two. World Champion Troy Bassham and motivational expert Gary Tuerack blew people away despite having to follow David Goggins. And inbetween participants were treated to the extraordinary talents of Lynn Rose, Justin Boudreau, and Ryan Sims. I cherished some stage time myself among these extraordinary people, performing my one man comedy, “Man 1, Bank 0” Monday night, and sharing some stage time to coach and inspire with Troy on Wednesday.

But as we say at the event, the people who take the stage at BreakThrough are not the stars nor the real teachers. They are only the catalysts. The real stars and teachers of the event are the participants. At every event, we take time everyday to let the participants share what they’ve learned about prosperity and success from their up close encounters with rebar and hot coals. I could go on and go about this BreakThrough event, praised by everyone I spoke to as our best BreakThrough yet, but I’ll have to save it for another blog. Because once we start talking about the children who participate in BreakThrough, we need more time and more tissues.

John Assaraf & Patrick Combs

This week I had the pleasure of connecting with author and transformational leader John Assaraf twice in 24 hours. John is well known to viewers and readers of The Secret, as the successful entrepreneur who ended up living in the exact home that years before was a picture torn from the pages of a magazine, and pasted on his Vision Board. But his larger accomplishments are four multimillion dollar businesses, several bestselling books, and coaching processes that have positively impacted the lives of countless many around the world.

I first connected with John at Jim Bunch‘s Ultimate Wealth Workshop. Long time LifePath’rs will remember Jim from both his appearance on a Beyond Discovery call last year, and his unforgettable presentation at BreakThrough III. John dropped in to Jim’s event and gave a keynote on how to create the mindset of millionaires and billionaires. It was not a talk about a “Genie in a bottle” who gives you whatever you think about long enough. It was a hard-hitting lecture about the “neuroscience of success” and straight talk from a man who has created multimillion dollar businesses no less than 4 times.

The next morning, John joined the LifePath Unlimited community and myself, for a live Beyond Discovery call. It was our largest attended Saturday morning call to date. The lines were packed with more than 10 countries around the world represented. That meant that many on the line were up in the middle of the night to gain the wisdom that John would reveal. And he did not disappoint. In a long line of extraordinary Beyond Discovery calls, John’s call certainly qualified himself for the upper echelon of what I call the “Legends of the Call.” Using brain science, biology, genetics, street smarts and a little quantum physics, Assaraf made it compelling clear that the most important thing a person can do to advance toward their biggest goals – mountain tops or millions of dollars – is to recondition their subconscious mind to habitually think, feel and prompt the actions that the dream requires. He walked us through the how with his  trademarked  Neural Recondition Process™. By the calls end, his overarching message was unmistakable: Recondition your thoughts and you can accomplishing anything you truly desire.

I personally recommend his book, The Answer, which is co-authored with business expert Murray Smith. It provides a full explanation of John’s Neural Reconditioning Process™, as well as Murray’s brilliant business insights. I’ll leave you on something John Assaraf said near the end of his Beyond Discovery appearance when I asked him to define about a word he was using a lot, “commitment.” He replied, ”Interested people always have a story for why they couldn’t. Committed people don’t have a story. They do whatever it takes.”

 What does the world look like when everywhere you go, you leave it a little better? We think it looks happier, friendlier and safer. So when we were all together in Costa Rica for Destiny ONE, an opportunity around a playground project presented itself that LifePath Unlimited found irresistible.

Children at Play!

A run-down playground for children was brought to our attention by our F.I.R.E. Master, John Maisel, who lives much of his year in Costa Rica. 

This park is mainly used by the children of the permanent and migrant coffee plantation workers. They make $12.00 a day or the weight of their coffee beans during the season. Many of these families have four or more children. In John’s 3 years of living in Costa Rica, he’d never seen any children in the playground…and many local residents did not even know that the playground existed because it had become such an eye sore. But he started painting some of the play structures, and before they could even finish, the word had spread and children were coming…and mothers with small babies were coming too.

John then invited LifePath Unlimited to assist him in his efforts to give the forgotten playground new life. A partner was needed to help him paint over the rust, replace dilapidated parts, add new swings and monkey bars, as well as picnic tables for the mom’s who would welcome a place to bring their kids and infants to play each day. Even a large flood light to illuminate the playground at night – to keep the drug dealers away – was on the vision board.

To help, LifePath accepted donations for a (legendary) after-party that was held at Synergy in Pheonix the next month. $2,300 was donated and passed directly to the Costa Rica playground project. We soon received this heartwarming note from John:

“Thank you for your generous contribution to the children of Costa Rica.  I have already spoken with my helper Josealfredo and we have located a second site where we will be building a small playground.  I have worked with one of the families in this remote area in the mountains near my home.

I learned a powerful lesson from that family.  “They suppress the hope of a better life from their children because they do not want their children to experience the pain of disappointment that they have experienced in their own lives.”  It is a self perpetuating situation that is like a glue that keeps poverty as a way of life. It is like they are saying, “Do not have a dream because it might hurt if your dream does not come true.”

It is my intention that through this playground project that we can open some “doors” so that Josealfredo and I can offer some new possibilities of living a better life to these people.  If they have a place to gather and create some joy for their children…perhaps it will be a seed for personal growth and greater possibilities. Once again, thank you on behalf of the children in Costa Rica.”

What a year 2009 has been for LifePath Unlimited’s Beyond Discovery calls!

This year we’ve again been graced by remarkable guests sharing their timeless wisdom. A quick walk down memory lane brings to mind: the miraculous Bernie Siegel MD, the unstoppable Cynthia Kersey, the extraordinary insight of Srikumar Rao, the millionaire mindset of Mark Stevens, the kindness of Michael Chase, the abounding abundance of Matthew and Terces Engelhart, the gianormousness of Sean Stephenson, the epic Jay Allen, the greatness of Tim Sanders, the shock and awe of Shane Ellison, the heart power of Martin Latulippe, and the incomparable fortitude of David Goggins.

These calls, conducted on Saturday morning, are where owners of LifePath’s Discovery Series meet live to reinspire themselves and advance their personal growth, talents and skills. They are an on-going, live component of the product, incalculable in their value.

On them, I interview some of the world’s best in personal development, academia, business, entertainment, adventure, sports, health and wellness, psychology, and more. We flush out what creates lives of abundance, adventure, fulfillment, personal power, resilience, happiness, and true magnificence.

This year we surpassed more than 100 Beyond Discovery calls presented live.

Jeremy Miner did it first. 100 sales of The Discovery Series. And thus, he was the first LifePath Unlimited Associate awarded the LPU Freedom Ring. The Freedom Ring, a custom made LifePath ring covered in diamonds and emeralds, is given to those Associates who make 100 sales of Discovery. 
Jeremy was awarded his Freedom Ring this summer in front of hundreds who were in attendance at the Synergy event held in Phoenix, AZ. Each winner of the ring is able to customize the Freedom Ring with a word or symbol on the side. Jeremy’s was specially created with the word ONE to denote that it was the first ring earned in the community.
“I’ve been at LifePath Unlimited for 14 months and it has been an amazing experience. I’m a single dad and I’ve got four kids that I love. My kids are everything to me…. What a blessing [LifePath] has given me, being able to have my kids and still work from home and be around my kids,” Jeremy said when accepting his ring.  He also had this advice for the audience, “Get yourself to the point when you look at the people getting these awards and you say to yourself, ‘Not only can I do what they’re doing, but I can do it better.’ That’s when you’re truly going to have the success you came for here at LifePath Unlimited.”

Another LifePath event gone so quickly, but as usual the “American Idiots” didn’t disappoint!

Firstly, let’s just establish that I use the phrase “American Idiots” as a term of endearment …. and seeing our wonderful co-founders Joe Neid, Patrick Combs and Dave MacKenzie walk on stage using the Green Day tune as their theme song, I know they won’t be offended.

But of course, they are far from IDIOTS …. their dedication and enthusiasm for this business shows us just how much you can achieve if you dare to dream big enough!

It was awesome to see the Ballroom at the Sheraton On The Park in Sydney packed out with faces eager to absorb and network the day away. The stage was set up like the inside of an airplane ready to take us on a unique educational journey.

We were guided by peak performers and inspirational speakers including Kerrianne and Richard Cartmer Edwards, Micheal Hamburger, Fredric Lehrman, Judith Shuttleworth, Rhonda Swan and Alan Nettles. They all gave us golden nuggets of information that we soaked up like a sponge. There are so many to mention, but Fredric’s definition of “Normal”, Judith’s “Glow Zone” and who can forget Ronda’s work philosophy, “Just Keep Pumpin’ Pumpin’ Pumpin” just to name a few.

I have personally been involved with LifePath for about 10 months and while you may think, “Well, you should be an expert at this business by now” …. I’m always floored at how much I learn when I surround myself with my LifePath friends.

But you know what the overwhelming theme of the day was for me?

KEEP IT SIMPLE!

This is a REALLY simple business and if we just TAP into the SYSTEM and apply CONSISTENT ACTION then we will see the RESULTS! ….. Remember what we all heard in the very first business webinar we listened to when we were introduced into this business?

I’m not sure about you, but I need to remind myself about this sometimes, because due to human nature, I think many of us just like to OVER-COMPLICATE things in life.

So, what I learnt was that I don’t have to be a great “Salesperson” or “Internet Marketing Guru” …. actually I don’t even need a website! And as a result I have re-evaluated my business and my family time this week. I am actually spending more time with my family and spending less time on my business, but I am still getting the same results, because the time I do spend on LifePath I use more efficiently!

I spend more quality time getting leads, calling them and putting them on the webinar, so the system can do the work for me and this is ultimately why I joined this business in the first place – because it was EASY and allows me to spend time with my GORGEOUS FAMILY!

Sometimes in life we are privileged to be a part of something that exceeds ourselves, outshines our personal accomplishments, and that will outlast our very lives. This is one of those times. 

In May, I blogged here about the participants of LifePath Unlimited’s BreakThrough IV event and how they raised more than $35,000 to help the village of Emori Joi in Kenya.

While we were at our Destiny event, Cynthia Kersey, the bestselling author of Unstoppable, and the founder of the Unstoppable Foundation, (whom LifePath Unlimited partnered with to build the school), traveled to Emori Joi to see the school actually being built.

This is one of those photos that speaks a thousand words. More like a million, because truly, what words can describe the feeling you get in your heart at the thought of these children now getting an education, a safe and loving place, a meal everyday, clean water, medical attention, and most of all a greater future!

The LifePath Unlimited Emori Joi school is well underway already and expected to be serving children by October.

A Second School Too!

LifePath'rs Help Adds a 2nd School for Girls!

Because our community’s charitable givings exceeded the financial need by $10,000, Emori Joi will also be able to build its very first secondary school for girls, the Kisaruni Secondary School.

Kisaruni is a very important addition to LifePath Unlimited’s impact on the children and families of this African village. According to Free the Children, the other charitable partner on these schools, “Kasaruni will help combat the early marriages that the girls of the village face. Often you see a huge drop out in girls around 6th and 7th grade because the parents see no hope for their daughters after that. But by knowing the school is coming the parents are already committed to not marrying off their daughters early. And the community is passionately behind this secondary school because it provides this huge sense of hope for what these girls can achieve.”
